This Earth Day, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) invites you to be part of the solution to e-waste. Across Canada, we’re hosting a series of free electronic recycling events to help individuals and businesses responsibly dispose of their unwanted devices while supporting environmental sustainability and digital inclusion.
Why Is Electronic Waste Recycling Important?
Electronic waste (e-waste) is one of the fastest-growing waste streams globally. Millions of tonnes of outdated or broken electronics end up in landfills each year, leaking hazardous materials and contributing to environmental degradation. By recycling your electronics with ERA, you help:
- Prevent toxic waste from polluting land and water.
- Reduce demand for raw materials by supporting the circular economy.
- Refurbish and donate technology to Canadian charities, schools, and underserved individuals.
At ERA, our goal is not just to recycle electronics but to extend their life and give them purpose—whether through secure refurbishment, certified data destruction, or donation to communities in need.
Earth Day Electronics Recycling Events Across Canada
We’re hosting free electronics recycling events from coast to coast. Join us at an event near you to drop off your old devices, learn about secure data destruction, and celebrate Earth Day 2025 with action.
