Extending the Life of Technology Through Electronic Recycling

By electronic recycling association December 6, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is thrilled to support Namao Flying Club with the donation of 2 desktop computers, helping the Sturgeon County, AB–based nonprofit enhances its digital operations and community programs.

Making Aviation Accessible

Namao Flying Club is committed to making flying accessible and affordable. Through flight training, aircraft rentals, and a welcoming, community-focused environment, the club empowers pilots at every skill level to pursue their passion.

With ERA’s contribution, the organization can boost efficiency, improve communication, and provide better support to its staff and members—ensuring that aviation remains a shared, inclusive experience.

Technology That Gives Back

At ERA, our goal is to reduce electronic waste while promoting digital inclusion across Canada. We collect old or unused electronics from homes and businesses, securely erase all data, and carefully assess each device. Those that can be reused are refurbished and donated to charities, schools, and nonprofits. Items that cannot be reused are recycled responsibly through certified Canadian partners.

This approach helps protect the environment and ensures that organizations like Namao Flying Club have access to the tools they need to succeed.

The Impact of Your Donation

For nonprofits, reliable IT equipment is more than just hardware—it’s a key resource that keeps daily operations running smoothly. ERA’s donation helps Namao Flying Club manage its programs efficiently, connect with its community, and continue offering affordable aviation opportunities to the Edmonton area.

Give Your Electronics a New Purpose

If you or your organization have outdated electronics, consider donating them to ERA. Refurbished devices directly benefit nonprofits like Namao Flying Club while reducing e-waste and supporting a more sustainable future.
