By electronic recycling association May 25, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to partner with the Tanglewood Hillsdale Community Association (THCA) to host a Free Electronics Collection Event in Ottawa, Ontario on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.

This free community event invites residents to responsibly recycle unwanted electronics while helping reduce e-waste and support environmental sustainability initiatives across Canada.

The collection event will take place at:

THCA Parking Lot Area
30 Woodfield Drive
Ottawa (Nepean), Ontario

As more households and businesses upgrade their technology, electronic waste continues to grow at an alarming rate. Improper disposal of electronics can lead to harmful environmental impacts and data security risks. ERA works to address both challenges by providing secure electronics recycling, data destruction, refurbishment, and reuse programs across Canada.

Community members are encouraged to bring unwanted electronics cluttering their homes, garages, and workplaces. By participating, residents can help divert reusable and recyclable technology from landfills while supporting ERA’s “Reuse Before Recycling” mission.

Accepted electronics may include:

  • Laptops and desktop computers
  • Monitors and servers
  • Cell phones and tablets
  • Printers and accessories
  • Cables, keyboards, mice, and small electronics

ERA securely wipes or destroys all data-bearing devices according to industry standards before devices are refurbished, reused, or responsibly recycled.

Events like this help create cleaner communities while increasing awareness about responsible electronics disposal and the importance of extending the lifespan of technology.

ERA would like to thank the Tanglewood Hillsdale Community Association for partnering on this important environmental initiative and helping make secure electronics recycling more accessible to the Ottawa community.

Residents are encouraged to attend, recycle responsibly, and make a positive environmental impact.
