As part of Earth Month 2026, the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Alberta and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) are proud to host a free electronics recycling and secure data destruction event in Edmonton. This initiative provides residents and businesses with a safe, responsible way to dispose of unwanted electronics while protecting sensitive data and supporting local charities.
From April 13 to April 17, 2026, community members are invited to drop off their unwanted devices at the ERA Edmonton facility, located at 14212 128 Ave NW.
Secure Electronics Recycling in Edmonton
Improper disposal of electronics contributes to growing e-waste and environmental harm. This Earth Month event offers a convenient solution by ensuring that all collected devices are either refurbished for donation or recycled responsibly.
The ERA follows strict industry standards to securely process all devices. Equipment that can be reused is professionally restored and donated to charities and non-profits, helping bridge the digital divide in communities across Canada.
Protect Your Data with Secure Destruction
Old electronics often contain sensitive personal and business data. At this event, ERA provides secure data destruction services, ensuring that all information is permanently removed or physically destroyed.
With ERA’s commitment to data security and environmental responsibility, participants can recycle with confidence, knowing their information is fully protected.
Residents and businesses are encouraged to bring a variety of data-bearing electronics, including:
- Laptops and desktop computers
- Mobile phones and smartphones
- Tablets and iPads
- Hard drives and IT equipment
