Free Electronics Recycling Event in Esquimalt, BC

By electronic recycling association March 18, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to partner with Esquimalt Recreation for a special Earth Month electronics recycling event in Esquimalt, British Columbia. Taking place on April 23, 2026, from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM (PST) at the Archie Browning Sports Centre, this event invites residents to responsibly recycle their unwanted electronics while learning more about sustainability.

As part of Esquimalt Recreation’s Earth-focused pop-up series, this event brings together community organizations dedicated to reducing environmental impact and promoting responsible waste management. ERA will be on-site to collect, securely process, and repurpose electronic devices, helping to keep harmful e-waste out of landfills.

Residents are encouraged to bring a wide range of electronic items, including laptops, desktop computers, gaming consoles, printers, phones, tablets, cables, and more. All collected devices will be handled in accordance with ERA’s industry-leading standards for data security and environmental responsibility.

To ensure complete data protection, ERA will also have its mobile hard drive shredding truck on-site, allowing participants to securely destroy their hard drives and protect sensitive personal or business information.

Collected devices will be refurbished whenever possible and donated to charities, schools, and individuals in need, supporting digital inclusion and extending the lifecycle of technology.
