This September, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) proudly partnered with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Central Canada to host a community electronic collection event in Regina, Saskatchewan. The initiative encouraged residents and local businesses to safely and securely recycle or donate unwanted electronics, supporting responsible e-waste management and digital inclusion across the province.
Supporting Digital Access and Environmental Responsibility
Through the generosity of Regina’s community members, ERA collected a wide variety of reusable electronic devices. These contributions help protect the environment by diverting electronics from landfills and allow ERA to refurbish and redistribute technology to organizations in need.
As a direct outcome of this event, ERA donated a desktop computers and 4 laptops to the Elizabeth Fry Society of Saskatchewan, a Saskatoon-based non-profit dedicated to empowering women and promoting social justice through education, advocacy, and community programs.
Building Greener, More Connected Communities
ERA is proud to collaborate with partners like the Better Business Bureau of Central Canada to raise awareness about secure and sustainable e-waste recycling. Community initiatives like this not only help Canadians dispose of electronics responsibly but also enable ERA to extend the life of technology and support those who need it most.
By choosing to donate electronics instead of discarding them, Canadians can help build a cleaner environment and a more connected, equitable society.
