Empowering Students and Supporting Sustainability

Throughout the two-week collection period, students and families are encouraged to reflect on the environmental impact of discarded electronics and adopt more sustainable habits around technology use and disposal. By participating in this initiative, the community helps to:

  • Reduce the amount of e-waste sent to landfills
  • Support secure and certified data destruction practices
  • Promote device reuse through ERA’s national donation programs
  • Inspire eco-conscious thinking among students and young learners

To support the initiative, ERA has provided collection signage and resources to help streamline participation and raise awareness throughout the school.

All collected electronics will be securely transported to ERA’s certified processing facility, where each item undergoes a rigorous evaluation and handling process. This ensures maximum reuse, minimal waste, and full compliance with environmental and data security requirements.

Building Community Through Sustainable Action

ERA is proud to support General Crerar Public School in promoting environmental responsibility and sustainable habits within the community. This initiative provides a responsible way to dispose of unwanted electronics while strengthening the connection between sustainability and education.

ERA extends its appreciation to the school’s staff, students, and families for their commitment to a greener future.
