The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), through Madagasikara Fanantenana Teknolojia (MFT), continues to support digital inclusion in Madagascar.
Recently, MFT donated computer equipment to the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Ankatso. The donation included five laptops, two desktop computers, two monitors, and three projectors.
Through this initiative, ERA and MFT are helping students and teachers access better tools for learning, presentations, practical sessions, and other academic activities.

Improving Access to Technology
Reliable technology plays an important role in higher education.
First, students can use the donated computers to complete assignments, conduct research, and develop digital skills. In addition, teachers can use the monitors and projectors during lessons, presentations, and practical training.
As a result, the equipment will help improve learning conditions and give students more opportunities to use technology throughout their studies.
Giving Technology a Second Life
ERA promotes a reuse-first approach by extending the useful life of working electronic equipment whenever possible.
Through MFT, suitable devices can continue serving schools, universities, non-profit organizations, and communities in Madagascar. Therefore, this donation creates both educational and environmental benefits.
Technology reuse helps:
- Improve access to digital tools
- Support student learning and practical work
- Extend the life of electronic equipment
- Reduce unnecessary electronic waste
- Help close the digital divide
Moreover, reuse protects the resources and energy already used to manufacture each device.
Building a More Inclusive Digital Future
This donation represents another important step toward stronger digital inclusion in Madagascar.
With support from ERA, MFT, partners, and donors, more educational institutions can gain access to the technology they need. Together, these efforts help students develop valuable skills and prepare for future opportunities.
ERA congratulates MFT and the Faculty of Arts and Sciences at the University of Ankatso on this important initiative.
By giving technology a second life today, ERA and MFT are helping invest in the education of tomorrow.
