Help ERA Find the Technology Charities and Communities Need

By electronic recycling association August 24, 2026

Do you have unused electronics sitting in your office, storage room, or home? They could be exactly what a charity, school, or community organization needs.

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has created its “Help Us Find These Items” list to connect unwanted technology with people and organizations that can put it back to work.

ERA’s wanted list is updated regularly and includes hundreds of specific technology items currently in demand. From laptops, desktop computers and monitors to docking stations, projectors, networking equipment, storage devices and computer components, your unwanted technology could be a perfect match.

Turn Unwanted Technology Into Community Impact

Instead of allowing reusable electronics to sit unused or become electronic waste, ERA prioritizes reuse and refurbishment.

When electronics are donated, ERA securely handles the data, assesses the equipment, and refurbishes eligible technology so it can be given a second life. Devices can then help support charities, schools, non-profits and individuals who need access to technology.

Businesses can also check the wanted list when upgrading their IT equipment. Something your organization no longer needs may already have someone waiting for it.

Check the List and Donate

Take a look through ERA’s current wanted items and see if you have a match.

Have something on the list? Donate it to ERA and help us give technology a second life while reducing electronic waste.
