ERA Donates a Laptop Prize to Support the Alberta Deaf & Hard of Hearing Society

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support the Alberta Deaf & Hard of Hearing Society (ADHHS) with a donation of a refurbished laptop, presented as a prize at their recent gala event. This initiative highlights ERA’s ongoing commitment to digital inclusion and community empowerment through technology reuse.

For more than 60 years, ADHHS has championed accessibility, inclusion, and equal opportunities for individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing across Alberta. The organization provides essential programs and services that foster communication, education, and advocacy—empowering individuals to live, learn, and work independently.

Technology plays a vital role in this mission. The donated laptop will help ADHHS enhance digital accessibility, streamline operations, and connect staff and clients through modern tools that support learning and communication.

This contribution reflects ERA’s mission to reduce electronic waste while bridging the digital divide. By securely refurbishing and redistributing technology to charities, schools, and community organizations across Canada, ERA helps extend the life of valuable electronics—keeping them out of landfills and in the hands of those who need them most.

Your Electronics Can Change Lives

ERA currently has more than 400 charitable organizations on its waitlist, seeking laptops, desktops, monitors, and other essential devices.
