How Electronic Recycling Helps Students Succeed

By electronic recycling association November 12, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Shelter Them Poverty Relief, a charitable organization in Toronto dedicated to empowering underprivileged children through education and community development.

ERA recently donated 12 laptops to help enhance learning opportunities for children supported by Shelter Them Poverty Relief. These devices will be used at an Early Childhood Education Centre that enrolls 90 students between the ages of 3 and 6 as they prepare for primary school.

The laptops will also serve over 100 students in primary school, secondary school, and university, ensuring they have the tools needed to continue their education and thrive in an increasingly digital world.

Reuse Before Recycle: ERA’s Commitment to Community Impact

At ERA, our mission is to reduce electronic waste through reuse, refurbishment, and donation. Every device donated helps us bridge the digital divide while keeping electronics out of landfills. Through partnerships with organizations like the SFNWA, we ensure that repurposed technology has a second life supporting meaningful community work.
