ERA Donates 10 Cell Phones to the Edmonton Police HELP Unit and Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support the Edmonton Police Service’s Human-centered Engagement and Liaison Partnership (HELP) Unit and the Bent Arrow Traditional Healing Society with a donation of 10 refurbished cell phones.

This donation helps strengthen efforts to connect with individuals experiencing mental health challenges, addiction, homelessness, or other vulnerabilities. The HELP Unit, in collaboration with community organizations like Bent Arrow, provides trauma-informed, culturally appropriate support aimed at breaking cycles of crisis and promoting long-term well-being.

By equipping frontline teams with communication tools, this donation enables faster and more effective engagement with those in need, while helping maintain essential contact between clients and support workers.

At ERA, we believe in the power of reuse to drive real impact. Every device donated to ERA is an opportunity to empower people, support essential services, and reduce electronic waste. With over 500 organizations on our waitlist, the need is growing—and so is the potential to help.
