The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) donated a laptop to The Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton Area (MAGMA) to support a newcomer refugee in Moncton, NB
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we are committed to bridging the digital divide by repurposing donated electronics and redistributing them to individuals and organizations in need. We are pleased to announce our latest contribution—a laptop donation to The Multicultural Association of the Greater Moncton Area (MAGMA) in New Brunswick. This device has been provided to a client enrolled in the Youth Pre-Employment Program, designed to support newcomer refugees as they integrate into the workforce and pursue educational opportunities in Canada.

Empowering Newcomer Youth Through Technology
MAGMA plays a crucial role in assisting immigrants and refugees as they transition into life in Canada. Their Youth Pre-Employment Program equips young newcomers with essential skills, training, and resources to help them secure meaningful employment. One of the biggest barriers faced by program participants is access to technology, which is critical for job searches, online learning, and communication.
Through this donation, ERA has provided a reliable laptop to help a young newcomer in Moncton continue her education and career development. With this device, she can now access online job applications, educational programs, and professional development resources—bringing her one step closer to achieving her goals.
Reducing E-Waste While Making a Difference
At ERA, we believe in sustainable technology solutions that benefit both communities and the environment. By repurposing gently used electronics, we help reduce e-waste while simultaneously supporting individuals and nonprofit organizations across Canada.
We encourage businesses and individuals to donate their used laptops, desktops, and other electronic devices to ERA. Every donation contributes to our mission of creating opportunities through technology reuse and keeping electronic waste out of landfills.
