How Electronic Recycling Supports the Arts

By electronic recycling association September 27, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce a recent donation of two desktop computers and two laptops to the Craft Council of British Columbia (CCBC).

For over 50 years, the CCBC has supported artists, makers, and the craft community across the province. As part of their ongoing growth, the Council is working to expand their online presence and improve access to digital tools that strengthen their operations.

Until recently, the CCBC was processing sales through a single desktop computer, which made it difficult to fully implement tools like the Shopify POS app—essential for managing both online and in-store sales efficiently.

Thanks to ERA’s donation, the Craft Council now has access to the technology needed to run its shop more effectively. These computers and laptops will help staff manage transactions, grow their online visibility, and continue supporting their mission to promote and celebrate craft in British Columbia.

At ERA, we believe that technology should never be a barrier for non-profits working to serve their communities. By refurbishing and donating electronics, we are proud to help organizations like the Craft Council focus on what matters most: creating opportunities and impact through their work.
