Knights of Columbus in BC Receives Tech Gift

By electronic recycling association September 22, 2020

It is the vision of the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) to foster a better community by reducing electronic waste and enabling the non-profit sector to achieve excellence by providing for their IT needs through computer donation and computer recycling. Our clients love that we contribute to environmental sustainability while ensuring working condition devices are donated to those in need. We are thankful for our long-standing clients, who have used our services for years and enjoy being a part of our donation activities. One of them chose Knights of Columbus who needed a desktop computer, extra monitor, projector, and printer. After ERA securely destroyed the data and refurbished the items, we were delighted to provide them with the items they needed.

Founded on the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity, the Knights of Columbus works to better the lives of those in their communities and around the world.

“Again, thank you for your generous support to our Council, we very much appreciate your company’s gift.” said Edwin Festejo.

The Knights was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief, and public relief works.

The history of the Order shows how the foresight of Father Michael J. McGivney, whose cause for sainthood is being investigated by the Vatican, brought about what has become the world’s foremost Catholic fraternal benefit society. The Order has helped families obtain economic security and stability through its life insurance, annuity, and long-term care programs, and has contributed time and energy worldwide to service in communities.

The Knights of Columbus has grown from several members in one council to more than 15,100 councils and 1.9 million members throughout the United States, Canada, the Philippines, Mexico, Poland, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Panama, the Bahamas, the Virgin Islands, Cuba, Guatemala, Guam, Saipan, Lithuania, Ukraine, and South Korea.

We strive to meet reasonable requests for IT and related equipment, such as computers, laptops, projection equipment, printers, phones and related peripherals. Because the ERA is an advocate of equality, we are not specifically affiliated with a given charity. The ERA helps hundreds of charitable organizations each year through the donation of necessary computer equipment. Get involved and drop off you unwanted electronics to one of our depots across Canada or call us to book a pickup.
