Langley Residents Step Up for Earth Day with the Electronic Recycling Association
On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), in collaboration with Langley Environmental Partners and the City of Langley’s Environmental Sustainability Committee, proudly hosted a Free Electronics Recycling Event at Douglas Park in celebration of Earth Day.
Residents came together to responsibly recycle their unwanted electronic devices, demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability and community impact.
A Day of Environmental and Social Impact
All electronics collected during the event will undergo secure data wiping. Devices that are still functional will be refurbished and donated to Canadian charities, non-profit organizations, and schools in need. Items that cannot be repaired will be recycled responsibly in accordance with leading environmental standards.
At the ERA, our mission extends beyond e-waste diversion. We are committed to secure data destruction, device refurbishment, and bridging the digital divide by donating technology to those who need it most.
Why Responsible Recycling Matters
Many individuals and organizations are unsure how to safely dispose of old electronics—particularly when it comes to protecting sensitive data. ERA ensures peace of mind through industry-certified data destruction processes, making it easy to support both security and sustainability.
Every donated device has the potential to change lives. By repurposing technology, we’re not only reducing e-waste but also enhancing digital access for underserved communities across Canada.
