ERA Supports Refugee Integration in Surrey, BC
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to have recently donated 2 laptops and a projector to a small grassroots nonprofit in Surrey, BC. This donation supports the Feels Like Home Newcomers Society, an organization that plays a crucial role in helping newcomer refugees integrate into Canadian society.
As a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering marginalized communities, the Foundations program provides essential life skills, including digital literacy, to refugees and newcomers. These skills are vital for navigating everyday life in Canada and ensuring successful, long-term integration into Canadian culture. With the support of ERA’s electronic recycling donation, the program now has the technology necessary to enhance its digital literacy training, allowing clients to build confidence and competence in an increasingly digital world.
ERA’s commitment to reducing e-waste while supporting education and community integration remains at the heart of its mission. Through generous donations like these, we aim to create lasting impacts, one device at a time. ERA’s efforts in electronic waste recycling help provide vital resources to those who need them the most, fostering inclusive communities across Canada.
We are honored to support the work of organizations that are transforming lives and fostering thriving communities across Canada, one electronic donation at a time.
