Making a Difference Through Electronic Recycling in Toronto

By electronic recycling association August 22, 2025

At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe that technology has the power to open doors, foster connections, and create new opportunities. By refurbishing donated electronics and placing them into the hands of charities, nonprofits, and individuals in need across Canada, we reduce e-waste while helping communities thrive.

Recently, ERA proudly donated two laptops and a printer to Communiti Care Health in Toronto, Ontario.

Empowering Connection and Opportunity

For many people, access to reliable technology is more than just a convenience—it is a lifeline. With the laptops and printer provided by ERA, Communiti Care Health can now better connect to the outside world, access vital information, and complete everyday tasks that are often taken for granted.

A representative from the charity shared:

“It is an amazing opportunity your Electronic Recycling Association has given me. Without these items I would not be able to communicate or connect with the outside world. These items you have provided have made a great difference in my life. I am able to have information at my fingertips. I think this service is invaluable and allows at the other end to be more conscientious about the environment.”

Reducing E-Waste, Strengthening Communities

This donation highlights the impact that electronic recycling can have—not only by extending the life of devices but also by making a real difference in the lives of those who receive them. By reusing technology, ERA helps keep valuable equipment out of landfills and supports individuals and organizations working to improve their communities.

The ERA’s mission is simple yet powerful: to reduce unnecessary electronic waste and to repurpose and donate technology that can empower people across Canada.
