The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is pleased to share a recent initiative supporting digital education and career development in Madagascar.

Madagasikara Fanantenana Teknolojia (MFT) recently donated 10 laptops and 2 iPads to Passerelles Numériques Madagascar. The organization provides technology training and helps young Malagasy people prepare for careers in the digital sector.

Through this donation, students will gain greater access to the equipment they need to learn, practise, and develop valuable technical skills. The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is pleased to highlight good initiative that supports digital education in Madagascar.

Creating More Opportunities Through Technology

Reliable computer equipment plays an important role in digital training.

First, students can use the donated devices to strengthen their knowledge of application development and web development. In addition, the equipment will support training in computer networks, systems administration, and other important technology fields.

As a result, students can gain practical experience and prepare for future education and employment opportunities.

Each laptop or tablet offers more than access to technology. It also gives a young person another opportunity to learn, create, and build confidence.

Giving Computer Equipment a Second Life

MFT also supports environmental responsibility through computer reuse.

Instead of allowing working devices to enter the waste stream too early, MFT gives them a second life through community donations. Therefore, this initiative creates both social and environmental value.

Technology reuse can:

  • Increase access to digital education
  • Extend the useful life of electronic equipment
  • Reduce unnecessary electronic waste
  • Support practical technology training
  • Create new opportunities for young people

Moreover, reusing electronics protects the resources and energy already used to manufacture each device.

Investing in Malagasy Youth

This donation shows how partnerships can strengthen digital education in Madagascar.

MFT, its partners, and its donors continue to invest in the potential of young people. Together, they help students gain access to technology, develop practical skills, and prepare for a more connected future.

ERA congratulates MFT and Passerelles Numériques Madagascar on this meaningful initiative. Their work demonstrates how technology reuse can support education while also promoting environmental responsibility.

By giving technology a second life, we can give the talents of tomorrow a stronger first chance.
