Join ERA and Port Moody Police for Data Destruction Event

In honor of Fraud Prevention Month, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is partnering with the Port Moody Police Department to help protect your private information through secure data destruction.

Event Details:

  • Date: March 12th, 2025
  • Time: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM (PST)
  • Location: City Hall Roundabout, 1000 Newport Dr, Port Moody, BC, V3H 5C3

Residents of Port Moody are invited to bring their unwanted electronic devices, such as hard drives, computers, laptops, phones, tablets, and other items containing sensitive data, for secure destruction. The ERA will collect and safely destroy a variety of electronic devices, including gaming consoles, desktop computers, phones, printers, and more. Please note that personal or household appliances will not be accepted.

Additionally, members of the Port Moody Police Department will be on-site to provide valuable information about data safety and fraud prevention, and to answer any questions you may have.

Accepted Items:

  • Consumer Electronics: Gaming consoles, iPods, MP3 players, stereo equipment, etc.
  • Desktop Computers: PC & Mac, monitors, parts, motherboards, etc.
  • Handheld Devices: Smartphones, cell phones, tablets, etc.
  • Laptops: PC & Mac, docking stations, parts, cables, etc.
  • Printers: Inkjet & Laserjet, plotters, copiers, scanners, fax machines, etc.
  • Peripherals: Keyboards, mice, CD/DVD ROMs, cards, accessories, etc.
  • Phone Systems
  • Racks & Miscellaneous Items: Server racks, lab equipment, disk arrays, etc.
  • Servers: Rackmount, stand-alone, all brands, etc.
  • Software: Operating system, editing, design software, etc.
  • Specialty Items: Cisco networking, switches, routers, etc.

Please note: We do not accept household or personal appliances.
