The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is pleased to partner with Zibi to deliver an Earth Day e-waste collection event across the Ottawa–Gatineau region.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement. By bringing together a forward-thinking development such as Zibi with ERA’s national reuse and recycling programs, the event offers a meaningful opportunity for residents and businesses to manage end-of-life electronics in a secure and environmentally responsible manner.

Event Details

The collection will take place on April 21, 2026, across two locations to improve accessibility for participants on both sides of the river.

As part of this Earth Day initiative, Zibi and the Electronic Recycling Association will host two coordinated e-waste drop-off sites in the Ottawa–Gatineau region.

Participants are encouraged to bring unwanted and unused electronics for responsible recycling and secure processing.

Gatineau Location

Ottawa Location

  • Time: 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM
  • Location: Head Street Square

This dual-location format makes it easier for community members to participate while supporting responsible electronics recycling and environmental sustainability.

Responsible Electronics Recycling

This event provides a structured and reliable solution for the responsible handling of unwanted and unused electronics. All collected materials will be processed by ERA in accordance with established data security and environmental standards.

Services include:

  • Secure data destruction to protect sensitive personal and organizational information
  • Environmentally responsible recycling to reduce landfill impact
  • Refurbishment and redeployment of suitable equipment to support Canadian charities, schools, and non-profit organizations
