The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), in partnership with the Better Business Bureau of Central Canada, is excited to host a free electronic recycling and data destruction event in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

This initiative offers local businesses and residents a secure, convenient, and environmentally responsible way to dispose of unwanted electronics. Every device collected will undergo certified data wiping before being refurbished for charitable use or responsibly recycled in accordance with ERA’s ISO-certified standards.
On-Site Data Destruction
ERA’s Mobile Shredding Unit will be at the event, providing free, on-the-spot physical destruction of hard drives, USBs, and discs—ensuring your retired storage devices are completely and securely destroyed.
Drive-Through Drop-Off
A quick and easy drive-through option will be available so you can drop off your items without leaving your vehicle. Refurbished equipment will be donated to charities in Winnipeg, helping to bridge the digital divide while reducing e-waste.

- Desktop and laptop computers
- Tablets and smartphones
- Printers and servers
- External hard drives and USBs
- Gaming consoles, MP3 players, and cameras
- Cords, cables, keyboards, mice, and other accessories
Not Accepted: Microwaves, tube televisions, and household appliances.
