Better Business Bureau Serving the Atlantic Provinces and the Electronic Recycling Association Host Earth Month Electronics Recycling & Secure Data Destruction Event in Halifax, NS.

Halifax, NS — In celebration of Earth Month, the Better Business Bureau Serving the Atlantic Provinces and the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) are partnering to host a Free Electronics Recycling & Secure Data Destruction Event focused on sustainability, data protection, and community impact.

The initiative will provide residents and businesses with a secure and responsible way to dispose of unused electronics while ensuring sensitive data is properly destroyed. ERA will offer free on-site shredding for hard drives, USBs, and discs using its mobile shredding unit, allowing participants to witness secure data destruction in real time.

ERA operates under internationally recognized standards including ISO 27001 (Information Security Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ensuring the highest levels of security, compliance, and environmental responsibility.

All collected electronics will be refurbished and donated to charities and community organizations across Nova Scotia, supporting digital inclusion, education, and community development.
