“Our client is very very happy to be able to use the laptop to check his email and do his taxes. The gift made his day. Thank you.”

Susan Jordan, Bissell Centre

Shell Canada is a long-standing client of the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) and a huge contributor to our donations program. Without organizations like these who make a concerted effort to be involved in their community, ERA would not be able to help as many organizations every year as we do. We were proud to partner on the donation of 10 laptops to the Bissel Centre in Edmonton, AB.  The donation will help the Bissell Centre provide laptops to clients who have limited income and to continue their education and connect with others during these uncertain times.

Shell Canada is an integrated energy company that aims to meet the world’s growing demand for energy in ways that are economically, environmentally and socially responsible. As a global energy company operating in a challenging world, they set high standards of performance and ethical behaviours. They are judged by how they act – their reputation is upheld by how they live up to our core values of honesty, integrity and respect for people.

Bissel Centre works with the community in Edmonton to empower people to move from poverty to cultural, social and economic prosperity.  The Bissell Centre follows six strategies that provide a clear path to enhance and expand their poverty elimination efforts.  The first tree strategies address the programs, services and advocacy efforts-what they so- and ensure that everything they do directly supports their mission and vision.  The other three strategies refer to how they so what they do, and are focused on ensuring Bissel Centre achieves the highest standards of operational excellence.
