The Electronic Recycling Association Donates Computers to Valley Community Learning Association
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe that access to technology is essential for lifelong learning and economic opportunity. That’s why we were proud to recently donate two desktop computers to the Valley Community Learning Association (VCLA) in Kentville, Nova Scotia.
The Valley Community Learning Association plays a vital role in supporting adult learners who are returning to education after time away from school. Whether learners are attending in-person classes, engaging in online education, or working to improve digital literacy from home, access to a reliable computer can make all the difference.
Unfortunately, many of VCLA’s students do not own a personal computer, which presents a significant barrier to their academic progress. With limited funding and resources, VCLA is often unable to provide the technology these learners need to succeed.
As a non-profit organization ourselves, ERA understands how challenging it can be to meet community needs with restricted funding. That’s why our technology donation program exists—to empower other non-profits, schools, and charities across Canada by providing refurbished devices that support digital inclusion.
Through the secure collection, certified data wiping, and refurbishment of donated electronics, ERA ensures that valuable technology can be reused to benefit communities in need rather than ending up in landfills.
We are proud to support VCLA in their mission to uplift adult learners and create educational opportunities in Nova Scotia.
