ERA and Genetec Support Digital Inclusion at Centre Toxico-Stop with Technology Donation

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to continue its commitment to reducing e-waste and bridging the digital divide through impactful partnerships. In collaboration with Genetec, a global leader in unified security solutions, ERA has donated refurbished technology to Centre Toxico-Stop, a charitable organization based in Quebec that provides support and recovery services to individuals affected by substance use.

This recent donation included:

  • Four desktop computers
  • Two laptops
  • One projector

These devices will significantly enhance Centre Toxico-Stop’s capacity to deliver digital programming, virtual support services, and skills training. Access to reliable technology plays a critical role in the recovery journey by enabling access to online education, employment resources, and social services.

“At ERA, we believe access to technology should be a right, not a privilege,” said Bojan Paduh, Founder of the Electronic Recycling Association. “We are grateful to Genetec for their continued partnership, which enables us to fulfill donation requests from nonprofits like Centre Toxico-Stop across Canada.”

By extending the lifecycle of electronics through refurbishment and reuse, ERA helps reduce electronic waste while supporting communities in need. Corporate donors like Genetec make this impact possible by contributing their decommissioned but functional devices, which are securely wiped, refurbished, and redistributed to eligible charities.
