The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce its recent donation of two desktop computers and a laptop to the Alberta Railway Museum in Edmonton, Alberta. This initiative is part of ERA’s ongoing mission to reduce e-waste, promote technology reuse, and support Canadian non-profits with essential tech tools.
Helping Preserve Alberta’s Rail Heritage
The Alberta Railway Museum is dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich railway history of Western Canada. The museum relies on passionate volunteers to maintain its collection of historic locomotives, rolling stock, and railway artifacts. By providing these refurbished computers, ERA is helping the museum enhance operations in critical areas, including:
- Volunteer Centre – Improving coordination, training, and communication for the dedicated volunteer team.
- Main Hangar – Supporting visitor management and exhibit information.
- Reception Desk – Streamlining ticketing and visitor services.
- Archives – Enabling better cataloging, research, and preservation of historical records.
