ERA Donates Computers to Support STEM Education in Ottawa
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support technology education and digital inclusion with a recent donation of a laptop and desktop computer to STEMWORLD Educational Services Inc. in Ottawa, Ontario.
Located in Ottawa’s Vanier community, STEMWORLD Educational Services Inc. is a newly opened STEM learning centre focused on providing youth with opportunities to develop valuable technology skills. The organization is currently building its technology lab to support hands-on learning in coding, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and other STEM-related programs.
Access to reliable computers is essential for delivering these programs. ERA’s donated laptop and desktop computer will help STEMWORLD expand its technology resources and provide young people with more opportunities to learn, explore and build skills for an increasingly digital world.
At ERA, we believe that technology reuse should come before recycling whenever possible. Through our electronics donation program, reusable laptops, desktops, tablets and other devices are securely processed, refurbished and given a second life with charities, schools and community organizations.
Donations like this help reduce electronic waste (e-waste) while also supporting organizations working to bridge the digital divide across Canada.
ERA is pleased to support STEMWORLD Educational Services Inc. as it grows its programs and creates new opportunities for youth in Ottawa.
