The Electronic Recycling Association Donates Technology to Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society (CWRS)
At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we are dedicated to reducing electronic waste while empowering Canadian charities with the technology they need to thrive. As part of this mission, ERA is proud to announce the donation of two laptops and a printer to the Calgary Wildlife Rehabilitation Society (CWRS) in Alberta.

This donation was facilitated through ERA’s nationwide Technology Donation Program, which helps bridge the digital divide by providing refurbished electronics to nonprofit organizations that serve the public good. CWRS is a remarkable example—an organization that not only provides life-saving care to injured and orphaned wildlife across Alberta but also plays a vital role in promoting environmental stewardship, education, and community well-being.
With access to reliable technology, CWRS can now enhance their operational efficiency, securely manage volunteer coordination and medical records, and focus on delivering compassionate care to over 2,400 wildlife cases annually. By repurposing devices that would otherwise contribute to Canada’s growing e-waste problem, ERA helps protect ecosystems while supporting organizations that make a difference.
This impact is made possible thanks to businesses and individuals who choose to recycle their unused or decommissioned electronics through www.era.ca. Every item donated to ERA undergoes certified data destruction and is refurbished in accordance with industry-leading environmental and security standards. ERA is proudly ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 27001 certified, demonstrating our commitment to quality, sustainability, and data protection.
Over 500 Canadian Charities Are Waiting
CWRS is just one of over 500 registered Canadian charities currently on ERA’s waitlist, in need of laptops, desktop computers, tablets, smartphones, and other essential technology. If your organization is looking for a responsible way to dispose of IT assets, consider partnering with ERA to support both environmental protection and social good.
