Sustainable Giving Through Electronic Recycling

By electronic recycling association June 17, 2025

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to announce a recent technology donation to the Swedish Women’s Educational Association International (SWEA) Toronto. As part of our ongoing mission to reduce electronic waste and promote digital inclusion, we donated a refurbished laptop to support the organization’s administrative operations.

SWEA Toronto, part of a global nonprofit organization, works to preserve and promote Swedish culture, language, and education abroad. With a vibrant network of women supporting cultural events, scholarships, and community engagement, SWEA plays an important role in connecting Swedish-speaking women in Canada and around the world.

The donated laptop was provided to replace an outdated device used by the organization’s Treasurer. With this updated technology, SWEA Toronto will be better equipped to manage financial tasks, streamline reporting, and maintain organizational efficiency.

At the Electronic Recycling Association, we understand how vital reliable technology is for nonprofits. As a nonprofit ourselves, we recognize the challenges that limited funding can present when it comes to upgrading essential tools. That’s why our donation program exists—to give gently used electronics a second life in the hands of organizations making a difference.

With over 500 charitable organizations on our waitlist, ERA continues to call on individuals and businesses to donate their unwanted electronics. Each donation helps us bridge the digital divide, reduce e-waste, and support communities across Canada.
