The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Habitat for Humanity Niagara in St. Catharines, Ontario, through a recent technology donation made in collaboration with the Honourable Mayor Mat Siscoe.
As part of this initiative, ERA donated 5 laptops, 2 desktop computers, and 4 iPads, providing Habitat Niagara with essential tools to strengthen operations, improve productivity, and better serve families across the Niagara region.
Strengthening Community Impact Through Technology
Habitat for Humanity Niagara plays a vital role in building affordable housing and supporting families in need. Access to reliable technology allows their team to manage projects more efficiently, coordinate volunteers, maintain records, and enhance communication — ensuring they can continue delivering meaningful impact within the community.
This donation helps remove technology barriers, enabling Habitat Niagara to focus resources where they are needed most: building homes, strengthening neighbourhoods, and supporting local families.
From Electronic Waste to Community Opportunity
Through ERA’s national reuse-first electronic recycling program, donated devices are professionally refurbished, securely data-wiped, and prepared for safe reuse before being responsibly recycled at end of life. This approach not only protects sensitive data but also reduces electronic waste and extends the lifecycle of valuable technology.
By connecting surplus corporate IT assets with community organizations, ERA helps organizations like Habitat for Humanity Niagara achieve stronger outcomes while advancing ESG objectives, digital inclusion, environmental sustainability, and responsible IT asset disposition (ITAD).
ERA is honoured to work alongside Mayor Mat Siscoe and Habitat for Humanity Niagara to create positive, measurable change for the St. Catharines community.
