Technology Donation Supports Digital Learning in Madagascar

By electronic recycling association July 30, 2026

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) and Madagasikara Fanantenana Teknolojia (MFT) are proud to work together to expand access to technology and support digital education in Madagascar.

As part of this initiative, MFT recently donated seven laptops, seven iPads, and seven desktop computers to the FIKIRIZANA association.

The donated equipment will help young people discover the world of computing, develop essential digital skills, and access new educational opportunities.

Expanding Access to Digital Learning

Reliable technology can play an important role in education and personal development.

Young people supported by FIKIRIZANA will be able to use the donated devices for research, educational activities, digital communication, and practical computer training.

The laptops, iPads, and desktop computers can also help participants learn how to use common digital tools, complete assignments, access online resources, and build skills that may support their future education and employment.

As a result, the donation will provide FIKIRIZANA with additional resources to strengthen its programs and introduce more young people to technology.

Building Digital Skills for the Future

Digital literacy is becoming increasingly important in school, work, and everyday life.

Access to computers and mobile devices allows young people to develop confidence while learning how to search for information, create documents, communicate online, and use technology responsibly.

These skills can open the door to new learning opportunities and help participants prepare for a future in which technology continues to play an important role.

Through this donation, MFT is helping reduce the digital divide and create greater access to valuable digital tools in Madagascar.

Giving Technology a Second Life

Technology reuse supports both communities and the environment.

By extending the useful life of laptops, iPads, and desktop computers, organizations can reduce electronic waste while ensuring that working equipment continues to create value.

Instead of being discarded, these devices can support education, skills development, communication, and community programming.

This donation demonstrates how reused technology can make a meaningful difference when placed in the hands of people who can benefit from it.

Creating Impact Through Partnership

ERA and MFT thank the FIKIRIZANA association and everyone who helped make this donation possible.

Partnerships between organizations, donors, and community leaders are essential for expanding access to technology and creating long-term social impact.

By working together, ERA and MFT continue to support digital inclusion, strengthen communities, and give electronic equipment a valuable second life.
