At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe that every refurbished device has the power to change lives. Recently, ERA proudly donated four laptops to the Kelowna Women’s Shelter in West Kelowna, BC, to support families in need.
Supporting Families in Transition
The Kelowna Women’s Shelter provides safe refuge, counselling, and vital resources to women and children escaping domestic violence. With secure housing, compassionate care, and community programs, the shelter offers families the chance to rebuild their lives in a safe and supportive environment.
Access to technology plays a critical role in this journey. The donated laptops will give families the tools they need to stay connected, pursue education, search for employment, and access important online resources. For many, these devices represent not only opportunity but also independence and a step forward toward a brighter future.
Why ERA Gives Back
ERA’s mission extends far beyond recycling. By refurbishing and repurposing electronics, we ensure that valuable technology is diverted from landfills and placed directly into the hands of those who need it most. Each donation creates opportunities for growth, empowerment, and community support while promoting environmental sustainability.
This donation to the Kelowna Women’s Shelter is just one example of how your unused electronics can make a meaningful difference. By donating to ERA, you are helping families across Canada access the digital tools they need while also supporting our collective goal of reducing e-waste.
If your business or household has laptops, desktops, tablets, cell phones or other devices you no longer need, consider giving them a second life through ERA. Together, we can bridge the digital divide, protect the environment, and empower communities in need.
