The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Innu Takuaikan Uashat mak Mani-utenam (ITUM) Education in Uashat, Quebec, through the donation of 50 laptops. This initiative helps improve access to technology for students and supports efforts to reduce the digital divide in Indigenous communities.

Access to reliable technology is essential for students to participate fully in today’s education system. These laptops will be distributed to students who may not otherwise have consistent access to a computer at home, enabling them to complete schoolwork, participate in online learning, and build essential digital skills. By removing barriers to technology, this donation helps create more equitable learning opportunities and supports long-term educational success.

This donation was made possible with the support of The Honourable Senator Michèle Audette, who helped connect ERA with ITUM Education to ensure refurbished technology reaches students who need it most. Through partnerships like this, ERA is able to extend the life of donated corporate IT equipment while creating meaningful community impact.

As a Canadian non-profit organization, ERA works with businesses across the country to securely collect, refurbish, and redistribute surplus electronics to charities, schools, and community organizations. All devices are professionally refurbished, and data is securely erased to protect donor privacy. By prioritizing reuse before recycling, ERA reduces electronic waste while increasing access to technology for communities across Canada.

Organizations interested in donating surplus electronics can learn more about ERA’s secure electronic recycling and donation programs at www.era.ca or call 1-877-939-2783.
