ERA Donates Tech to STEAM IC

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support youth-driven innovation through the donation of refurbished electronics. In our latest initiative, we provided two laptops and a projector to STEAM IC, a Canadian non-profit dedicated to empowering youth through Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) programming.

STEAM IC organizes events throughout the year to help youth aged 12–18 tackle real-world challenges using creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. The refurbished laptops donated by ERA will be awarded to outstanding participants as prizes and provided to young people who lack access to the technology they need for education and skill-building. The projector will be used during workshops and presentations, enhancing STEAM IC’s ability to inspire and educate.

This donation is part of ERA’s ongoing mission to reduce electronic waste and bridge the digital divide by repurposing used electronics and redistributing them to charities, schools, and community organizations across Canada.

We currently have over 500 nonprofits on our waitlist in urgent need of working laptops, desktops, tablets, and other devices. If your company or household has unused or decommissioned tech, consider making a difference today. Your old electronics can become tools for education, innovation, and opportunity.

Donate your electronics and change lives.
