The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) continues to advance digital inclusion and environmental sustainability through its latest donation to the Nova Scotia Environmental Network. As part of ERA’s mission to reuse before recycling, the organization donated two refurbished laptops and one projector to support the network’s ongoing initiatives across Nova Scotia.
This donation will have a meaningful impact on both staff operations and the broader community. One laptop will be shared among the organization’s internal team, helping improve day-to-day productivity, communication, and administrative efficiency. The second laptop will be made available to member organizations that may not have the financial resources to access reliable technology, ensuring more groups can participate in environmental advocacy and programming.
In addition, the donated projector will play a key role in enhancing outreach and engagement. It will be shared between the Nova Scotia Environmental Network and its member organizations for use in fundraising events, educational workshops, webinars, and virtual meetings. Access to this equipment will strengthen their ability to connect with communities, deliver impactful presentations, and expand awareness around environmental issues.
Through donations like this, ERA helps bridge the digital divide while also reducing electronic waste. By refurbishing and redistributing technology, ERA extends the life cycle of electronics and ensures they are reused in ways that directly benefit charities and nonprofits across Canada.
As a Canadian nonprofit specializing in secure IT asset disposition (ITAD), data destruction, and electronics reuse, ERA supports over 500 organizations on its waitlist. Donations such as this one highlight the importance of responsible recycling and the positive social impact that can come from repurposing unused electronics.
Organizations and businesses looking to make a difference are encouraged to partner with ERA. By donating unwanted electronics, you can help reduce e-waste, support local charities, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
