The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to partner with the Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) to host a free Earth Month Electronic Collection Drive in Kanata, Ontario, helping residents safely recycle old electronics while protecting sensitive data and supporting local communities.
The event will take place on Saturday, May 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 2 MacNeil Court, Kanata (Ottawa), ON. Community members and businesses are encouraged to drop off unwanted electronics for secure reuse, refurbishment, and responsible recycling.
As part of ERA’s national “Reuse Before Recycling” initiative, collected devices will first be evaluated for refurbishment and donation opportunities to charities and individuals in need across Canada. Electronics that cannot be reused will be responsibly recycled through certified downstream recycling partners to help reduce landfill waste and environmental impact.
The event also provides attendees with an opportunity to securely dispose of devices containing personal or business information. ERA specializes in secure IT asset disposition (ITAD), certified data destruction, and electronics refurbishment services for organizations and communities across Canada.

- Computers and laptops
- Tablets and smartphones
- Monitors and servers
- Printers and accessories
- Cables, keyboards, and other electronics
Electronic Recycling events like this help divert electronic waste from landfills while promoting digital inclusion and environmental sustainability within local communities.
