The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is pleased to invite Winnipeg residents, businesses, and community members to an Electronics Collection Event at Portage Place on October 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The event will take place at Portage Place (BGO Properties), 393 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3B 3H6, providing a convenient opportunity to clear out unwanted electronics while supporting responsible reuse and recycling
.
Give Your Unwanted Electronics a Second Life
Old electronics can quickly accumulate at home or in the workplace. Laptops that have been replaced, unused monitors, phones, keyboards, cables, and other devices often end up stored away simply because people are unsure what to do with them.
ERA works to extend the useful life of technology through reuse, refurbishment, and responsible recycling. By bringing eligible unwanted electronics to the collection event, participants can help keep electronic equipment out of the waste stream while supporting a more sustainable approach to technology.
Depending on their condition, collected devices may be assessed for reuse or refurbishment, while equipment that cannot be reused can be directed toward responsible recycling.
What to Bring
Community members are encouraged to gather their unwanted electronics ahead of the event. Items may include computers, laptops, monitors, smartphones, tablets, keyboards, mice, cables, and other electronic equipment.
Whether you have a single unused device or several pieces of outdated technology, the event is an easy way to make space and dispose of electronics more responsibly.
