The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) was proud to participate in the recent CIO Association of Canada (CIOCAN) Peer Forum held in Ottawa—a premier event that brought together CIOs, IT professionals, and technology leaders from across the country.
This forum served as a valuable opportunity for ERA to engage with key decision-makers who are driving innovation while prioritizing sustainability, cybersecurity, and corporate social responsibility (CSR) in their organizations.
Championing Responsible IT Asset Disposition
At the event, ERA highlighted its secure and sustainable IT asset disposition (ITAD) services, which help organizations safely retire outdated technology while supporting digital inclusion initiatives. As a national nonprofit, ERA refurbishes donated devices and redistributes them to charities, schools, and nonprofits across Canada.
With over 500 charities on our waitlist, ERA emphasized the growing demand for refurbished laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices—particularly from under-resourced communities working to close the digital divide.
A Shared Vision for Impact
Through meaningful conversations with CIOs and technology leaders, ERA reinforced the critical role that responsible electronics recycling plays in both data security and environmental stewardship. By partnering with ERA, organizations can:
