FOSTERING A BETTER COMMUNITY, ONE LAPTOP AT A TIME
The ERA was delighted to donate a laptop to the Closer to Home Community Services in Calgary. Closer to Home Community Services (CTH) is a charitable organization that envisions a future where every child will belong to a family and feels valued and secure. Closer to Home’s mission is Empowering Families to Stay Together. This is the focus of everything they do.
Through the use of evidence-based practices and innovative solutions, Closer to Home strives to preserve, reunify and build stronger families who can care for their children and contribute meaningfully to their community. Their family-centered, strength-based services ensure that children have stable, healthy and safe living environments in which to grow and develop. And in some cases, when families are separated, they provide a place for children and youth to call home while offering therapeutic support with the ultimate goal of family reunification.
This laptop will be used to help Closer to Home Community Services reach out to those in need. It will ensure their day to day tasks are complete and new programs and initiatives can be implemented and monitored throughout the day.
