Large Gaylord boxes are an essential part of shipping and storing bulk materials, but once they’re empty, they often end up taking over valuable warehouse space. Rather than paying to dispose of them, your business can put those boxes back to work.
The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is accepting reusable Gaylord boxes from businesses across Canada to support ongoing reuse initiatives and help reduce unnecessary waste.
Keep Reusable Packaging Out of the Landfill
Many Gaylord boxes are still perfectly usable after their first shipment. Instead of recycling or discarding them immediately, they can continue serving businesses and organizations that need durable bulk containers.
Choosing reuse before recycling helps conserve resources, reduce packaging waste, and extend the life of materials that are still in excellent condition.
Who Can Donate?
ERA welcomes Gaylord box donations from organizations of all sizes, including:
- Warehouses
- Distribution centres
- Manufacturing facilities
- Retail operations
- Recycling companies
- Electronics businesses
- Logistics providers
- Industrial suppliers
If your business regularly receives palletized shipments, chances are you’re accumulating empty Gaylord boxes that could benefit another organization.
Free Pickup for Qualifying Businesses
Businesses may be eligible for free pickup through ERA’s collection program, depending on the amount of available boxes.
Boxes should be clean, dry, structurally sound, and suitable for another round of use.
Not enough boxes for pickup? Depending on your location, ERA may also accept drop-off donations.
Supporting Businesses Across Canada
ERA works with organizations in communities across Canada, including:
Calgary | Edmonton | Vancouver | Saskatoon | Winnipeg | Toronto | Ottawa | Montreal | Halifax
By donating reusable Gaylord boxes, your business helps reduce waste, supports sustainable operations, and gives quality packaging another opportunity to be used before it’s recycled.
