Compass Commercial Realty LP and The Electronic Recycling Association Unite for Sustainable Electronics Recycling in Dartmouth

The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) proudly partnered once again with Compass Commercial Realty LP to host a week-long electronics recycling initiative from June 17 to 23, 2025, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. This collaborative effort showcased how environmentally responsible e-waste disposal can seamlessly align with community engagement and charitable impact.

Accessible and Convenient E-Waste Collection

Tenants of Compass Commercial Realty were invited to drop off unwanted electronics at their convenience in secure collection bins provided by ERA. Held at 60 Thornhill Drive, the event utilized a secure vacant office space to ensure the safe storage of all collected devices. Compass enhanced the experience by offering complimentary coffee, creating a welcoming environment for participants.

Protecting the Planet and Empowering Communities

Electronic waste continues to be one of the fastest-growing environmental challenges in Canada. Each year, thousands of tonnes of discarded electronics end up in landfills, contributing to pollution and data security concerns. ERA addresses this issue by securely wiping data, refurbishing usable devices, and donating them to schools, nonprofits, and families in need.

Events like this not only help divert e-waste from landfills but also promote digital inclusion by providing vital technology to underserved communities.

Why Partner with the Electronic Recycling Association?

ERA offers turnkey solutions to organizations across Canada—handling everything from the secure collection of electronics to environmentally compliant recycling and donation. All processes follow strict international ISO standards, ensuring the highest level of data protection and environmental stewardship.
