École  Stanley Knowles School located in Winnipeg, MB is committed to providing a safe and stimulating learning environment that fosters the academic, social, emotional, and physical development of all individuals, helping each to maximize his or her potential. When one of their teachers contacted ERA for a donation, the ERA was pleased to provide 10 laptops for classroom use.

École Stanley Knowles School is a Nursery to Grade 8 school named for the long-time Member of Parliament. Since opening in 1988, the school has grown with the population in the community, the inspiration for our “Learning Together” motto. When you combine pride, tradition, and excellence, you get Stanley Knowles.

Construction on Stanley Knowles School began in 1987; the school was built as a two-story with an attached daycare facility. The school included eight regular classrooms, an administrative area, a multipurpose room, clothing lab, drafting shop, woodworking shop, kindergarten classrooms, guidance area, library, seminar room, science lab, gymnasium, and ancillary spaces.

When the school held its official opening on Oct. 25, 1988, one of the honoured guests was Stanley Knowles himself. It is a rare occasion for a building to be named after a person during their lifetime—and the long-time Member of Parliament was thrilled with honour. The school has grown with the young population in its catchment area. Eleven pre-designed classrooms were added in 1989 with a further three portable classrooms added in 1990.
