By electronic recycling association June 4, 2024

In a world increasingly driven by technology, access to digital resources can make a monumental difference in the lives of individuals and communities. Recognizing this, the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has taken a step to foster innovation and learning in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The ERA recently donated 15 laptops to The Discovery Centre, a move that is set to enhance the educational and exploratory opportunities at this renowned science and technology museum.

The Discovery Centre is a hub of learning and curiosity, known for its hands-on exhibits and programs that inspire people of all ages to explore science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). The recent donation of laptops will be a valuable addition to the Centre’s Innovation Lab, a dedicated space for public use and camp youth. This lab is a vibrant environment where creativity meets technology, offering visitors the chance to engage in various activities, from coding and robotics to digital media and design.

With these new laptops, The Discovery Centre can expand its reach and impact, providing more people with the tools they need to innovate and create. For the youth attending the Centre’s camps, these laptops will be instrumental in developing their digital skills, preparing them for a future where technological proficiency is paramount.  To learn more about The Discovery Centre please visit their website.

The Electronic Recycling Association’s mission to support non-profits with affordable technology is driven by the belief that technology should be an enabler, not a barrier. We invite other organizations and individuals to join us in this cause. Through donations and support, we can collectively make a significant impact, ensuring that more non-profits have the tools they need to succeed.
