DONATING LAPTOPS TO THE CAROLINE FAMILY CENTRE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM WHO DONATE THEIR TIME

We were thrilled to donate two laptops to the Caroline Family Centre Mentorship Program which is a part of the Family and Community Support Services. These laptops will be a great benefit for the children who visit the family centre.

They are a voluntary not-for-profit group of parents supporting parents supporting families. They came about in 2010 with the help of a start-up grant from FCSS (Family and Community Support Services). Their programs are for families of school-age children. Families come in all shapes and sizes including two-parent families, step and blended families, single parent families, grandparents, and foster families. They serve the village of Caroline, Alberta and surrounding area. Their families may have children in public school, Catholic school, or homeschool.

Sara Turchet, Coordinator at the Family and Community Support Services stated, “Children who come to the Family Centre would like some laptops to access the internet and play simple games. They are not allowed to use the staff desktop computer in the Family Centre so these laptops will come in handy. Thank you, ERA for all your help!”
