The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) took immense pleasure in contributing 20 laptops to support the transformative EDGE program of Parents of Black Children (PoBC). Their dedication is evident through their advocacy efforts, support programs, and active engagement with the community, all aimed at dismantling the systemic barriers hindering Black children from achieving academic success.
In 2021, PoBC launched the inspiring EDGE Program with a noble mission to combat the educational disparities faced by Black students in the Canadian education system. They firmly believe in the power of education to break barriers and uplift communities. The EDGE program, designed to provide free sustained tutoring for Black students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, empowers young minds with essential skills and confidence to excel academically.
