ERA Donates 6 Devices to Victory Assembly International Church

By electronic recycling association September 21, 2020

With offices shut down for the majority of the year due to the COVID pandemic, and many companies continuing to work from home, the Electronic Recycling Association has seen fewer pickups happening this year. While we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to continue fulfilling our donation requests, the waiting time for recipients has increased as the electronics coming into the ERA has decreased. The Victory Assembly International Church reached out to the ERA for IT devices and we were happy to help.

From the church’s request, we were proudly able to provide them with 2 printers, 3 projectors, and 1 laptop. The Church still is in need of 6 more laptops, which we will be able to fulfill later in October. Located in Toronto, Ontario, the Victory Assembly International Church is proud to be a multicultural church with a growing membership. They have a young and dynamic music department and loyal supporting members. Over the past 14 years, the Church community and members have grown quickly. This year, they are looking to assist and support their community further through the start of a brand-new program.

“We are grateful”, says Felix, a representative from the Church. Once the remainder of their donation request is filled, the Victory Assembly International Church will be utilizing these devices to start up a Youth Computer Lab. Participants will have access to the Internet and computers for use.

This is where the Electronic Recycling Association needs your help. With many offices shut down, the ERA has not been able to schedule our typical number of pickups this year. This results in us partially fulfilling donation requests, such as Victory Assembly International Church’s.

Our vision at the Electronic Recycling Association is to foster a better community by reducing electronic waste and enabling the non-profit sector to achieve excellence by providing for their IT needs through computer donation and computer recycling. We do this by refurbishing computers, laptops, monitors, projectors, printers, etc. that we receive. With fewer items coming into our warehouses, our waiting list times have increased.

If you have any electronics at home that are sitting unused, please consider dropping it off at an ERA Depot near you. The Electronic Recycling Association also offers free pickups across Canada. We operate in 7 major Canadian cities and are also able to serve remote communities. Book your pick up today and see your electronics help out organizations like the Victory Assembly International Church.
