The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to support Saint Benedict’s Table with the donation of a refurbished laptop to help strengthen the organization’s accessible livestream services for its community members in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Saint Benedict’s Table is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive space for people of all identities, orientations, backgrounds, and beliefs. Accessibility remains a core part of their mission, especially for congregants who are unable to attend services in person and rely on livestream programming to stay connected with the community.
The organization recently identified the need for a more powerful computer system with a minimum Intel i7 processor capable of supporting reliable livestream broadcasting. However, like many community organizations and non-profits across Canada, budget limitations made purchasing a new device difficult.
Through ERA’s technology donation and electronic reuse programs, the organization was able to receive a refurbished laptop to help continue providing accessible online services to its members.
“At ERA, we believe technology reuse can create meaningful social impact,” said the Electronic Recycling Association. “Donations like this help organizations continue delivering essential community services while also reducing electronic waste through secure refurbishment and reuse.”
ERA works with businesses, organizations, and individuals across Canada to securely refurbish donated electronics and redistribute working devices to charities, non-profits, schools, and community groups in need. By extending the life of electronics through reuse, ERA helps reduce landfill waste while improving digital access for communities nationwide.
