The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) is proud to be recognized for its ongoing support of community organizations throughout Quebec.

In a recent letter of support, Orford MNA and Quebec’s Minister of Cybersecurity and Digital Affairs, Gilles Bélanger, highlighted the positive impact ERA has made by providing refurbished technology to organizations serving communities across the region.

Over the past year, several organizations have received donated technology through ERA, including the Stanstead Volunteer Action Centre, the Valcourt Volunteer Action Centre, and the Missisquoi-Nord Volunteer Action Centre. These donations help organizations access the tools they need to support their operations, serve clients more effectively, and strengthen community programs.

As technology becomes increasingly essential for service delivery, many nonprofit organizations face challenges in securing the equipment needed to operate efficiently. By refurbishing and redistributing computers and other electronic devices, ERA helps bridge this gap while extending the life of valuable technology.

The recognition also highlights ERA’s dual mission of environmental stewardship and social impact. Through secure electronics recycling, data destruction, device refurbishment, and technology donations, ERA helps reduce electronic waste while creating opportunities for charities, schools, nonprofits, and community groups.

“We are grateful for the recognition and proud to support organizations that make a difference in their communities every day,” said ERA. “By working together, we can continue to create positive environmental and social impact through technology reuse.”

ERA remains committed to helping organizations across Canada access affordable technology while promoting responsible electronics recycling and data security.
