At the Electronic Recycling Association (ERA), we believe that access to technology can be a powerful tool for growth, learning, and connection. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce an expansion of our ongoing support for the Calgary Immigrant Women’s Association (CIWA). As part of this effort, we’re opening up our donation program to benefit all clients participating in CIWA’s various programs.
Over the next few months, ERA is committed to donating a total of 80 laptops to CIWA. We’re pleased to share that the first delivery of 23 laptops has already been made, and we’re excited to see how these devices will support CIWA’s efforts to empower immigrant women and their families.
Empowering Women Through Technology
CIWA is dedicated to helping immigrant women integrate and succeed in Canada by providing them with essential resources and opportunities. From language skills and employment training to family services, CIWA’s programs cover a wide range of needs. However, in today’s digital world, access to technology is key to fully participating in these opportunities.
That’s where ERA steps in. By providing laptops, we hope to help CIWA clients bridge the digital divide, enabling them to pursue education, build careers, and stay connected with their communities.
Building a Future Together
Our partnership with CIWA is an extension of our broader mission to reduce electronic waste while making a meaningful impact in local communities. We’re proud to support CIWA’s vision of a brighter future for immigrant women and their families.
Stay tuned for updates as we continue this journey, delivering the remaining 57 laptops and watching the incredible ways CIWA clients will use them to transform their lives.
